YOUR LOCAL CYCLING CLUB
Find people to ride with in Rutland. Velo Club Rutland was founded in 2007 to help cyclists meet new people in a friendly atmosphere. The cycling club has grown to over 100 regular members.
SOCIAL, FITNESS AND TRAINING RIDES
There’s something for about every level of fitness and experience. The club gives access to novice events and competitive races. Anyone can join from mountain bikers to road and touring riders of any age. eBikers are welcome too!
LOCAL ROADS AND TRACKS
The Club will take you to corners of Rutland you’ve never seen. Our development ride, The Café Ride, is on Saturday mornings. Find more details on the Weekly Rides page.
A COMMUNITY OF CYCLISTS
There’s always an opportunity to get together over a pint or a piece of cake. The social rides explore the rural county & beyond with a friendly bunch and some refreshments along the way.
FOR CYCLISTS OF ALL AGES
Younger or older? All you need is a bike. Those who choose more leisurely riding or are returning from injury could try The Café Ride.
A MIX OF CYCLING DISCIPLINES
The members ride and race all year round, on tarmac, dirt or covered in mud. The club is affiliated with the Cycling Time Trials Council and British Cycling for those wishing to race.
RIDES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
From razor sharp tan lines to a tidal mark of mud, there’s always some way to ride. Just ask the members on the VCR Facebook group. You can start with a social ride leading up to a sportive or race event.
